Prof. Swethaa C K
Prof. Swethaa C K is a poet, anthologist, translator and researcher. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Literature from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. at VIT, focusing on Tribal Studies, with particular emphasis on Adivasi Studies within the broader context of South Asian Literature.
Her research interests include Film Studies, Memory Studies and Development Studies. With three years of teaching experience, she has published academic work in Scopus-indexed journals. Additionally, she has participated in numerous workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and webinars and has presented papers at academic conferences.
Beyond her academic endeavors, Swethaa is an active poet, with her poems featured in several Indian anthologies. She has over five years of experience compiling literary anthologies in collaboration with a renowned publishing house. Recently, she has undertaken the role of a translator, working with a distinguished Tamil poet to translate 600 Tamil idiomatic sentences into English, employing appropriate English idioms. She has also completed several certification courses in Business Communication Skills, Academic Writing, and various NPTEL courses.
