Bengaluru, 2026 — NSB Bangalore is opening a new chapter in student orientation.
The NSB Wilderness Camp, set on the institution's own natural site at Ravugodlu, will now be a part of the student journey for every new and continuing batch.
Named by “Into the Wild — Shaping Leaders Through Self-Discovery and Reflection,” the two-day retreat is designed as an experiential learning programme that steps outside the classroom and into a landscape that teaches differently. The site brings together four natural terrains — forest, shade canopy, open sports ground, and a rocky campfire zone — into a single flowing space for students to navigate, compete in, reflect at, and share.
Activities at the camp span the physical, the reflective, and the still. Students will take part in archery, climbing nets, volleyball, throwball, short-pitch cricket, mud sports, and a night trek with map and compass navigation. Two activities in particular — a paper boat ritual after dark and an afternoon of kite flying — carry the philosophy at the heart of the programme: that leaders are shaped by how they meet the wind and how they recover when the water moves.
